On Imagination Meditation

Visualize a garden encompassing you as you reorient your body away from the world to your internal self.  Inhale for a count of two, hold for three, and exhale stress with a hum.

Let your imagination take you to a place of comfort as you breathe or envision a garden of purple Lavender calming anxieties and drifting you into a sea of peace. Rest here a while.

Let the air calm. Let the flowers…

Soothe.

 Rest.

Soften.

Breathe.

While in the garden you feel a pull towards the ground around you. You become curious about the earth. Patchouli begins to enrapture you.

You feel your nervous system regulating as you touch the dirt and notice the trees. Your shoulders drop, as you gain a sense of clarity at the beauty of the earth and this moment.

There is nothing else that matters now. It is you and the earth. Take a deep breath in, exhale relief, and rest in the beauty of the Earth and this peaceful bliss.

Your imagination drifts from the earth to your sacred place. That place where you escape to when you feel deep overwhelm. That place where your inner child comes alive with glee.

Sift through the weeds of the world and bask in the softness of the moment as Frankincense cloaks around you. Feel the energy shifting and things lifting…

Depression subsidies.

Anxiety ceases.

Worries relax.

For this moment you are held and relaxed. The woody resin properties take you deeper into your imagination. You think of things of beauty.  You bask in moments of joy. Nothing can steal this moment from you.

As you begin to arouse from your sacred place you are centered and engage in one last breathing cycle.

Inale for a count of five. Hold four a count of four, and exhale with a sigh of joy and say out loud, my imagination will hold me. I can find my moments of peace when most needed.
